What We Do

Empowering Our People Through Culture, Community and Country

Culturally Inclusive Leadership and Governance

TAC is a leading Aboriginal corporation in the Bundaberg region with:

Emphasis on leadership initiatives and a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful community development programs with the support and endorsement of the regional Aboriginal community.
Governance led by a strong board comprising seven Traditional Owners, committed to maintaining an open and transparent approach to organisational and project oversight.
The TAC board and management consistently prioritize leadership and governance capability building, fostering growth and sustainability.

Leadership in education engagement and excellence.

TAC is a leading Aboriginal corporation in the Bundaberg region with:

Create culturally safe pathways that engage children, young people, and adults in education and training.
We work in partnership with kindergartens, school and training providers, delivering our own culturally designed programs such as early years education, youth training, and mentoring.
Providing diverse training opportunities through our Nest Bank Management for Resilience and Recovery of the White-throated Snapping Turtle (WTST) project – an initiative that combines cultural, environmental, and community development to help disengaged young people reconnect with Country while supporting the Taribelang Bunda people in conserving our totem, the milbi (WTST).

Social Enterprise Development

TAC is able to undertake a diverse range of programs and activities including:

Establishing enterprises such as cultural tours, disability support services, and land management programs that embed Taribelang Bunda knowledge, values, and traditions.
Providing opportunities for Taribelang Bunda people, especially youth, to gain skills, qualifications, and meaningful work within community-led enterprises.
Using enterprise income to fund cultural preservation, environmental projects, and programs that strengthen kinship, wellbeing, and self-determination.

Land, Sea and Cultural Heritage, Rehabilitation and Preservation

TAC successfully delivers a range of programs for the Aboriginal community including:

Collaborating with experts in threatened species conservation to protect and preserve
Identifying and pursuing opportunities in land and sea management services to enhance environmental stewardship through our ranger team
Prioritising the support and well-being of our people and culture through these initiatives.
